                            Fitness Boot Camp FAQ's

Q: What are the workout routines?

A: Full body strength and cardio workouts. I make sure to hit all the muscles in the body in one workout all while working on your cardio endurance as well. My workout routines vary from class to class.

Q: Is it the same routine every class?

A: I'm always switching things up. One day we'll be using dumbbells and the next suspension training straps (similar to TRX), to resistance bands the next day and/or mini-resistance bands.

Q: Is there equipment I need to purchase for the workouts?

A: You will need to bring your own weights. I do have weights you can purchase from me. I provide all other equipment (resistance bands, mini-bands, medicine balls, suspension straps, and etc) Also recommended are workout gloves, a yoga mat and/or towel).

                            Q: How about group rates?

A: I provide a group discount for 4 or more people at $75 per person.

Q: Do you have a referral program?

A: Yes! If you are paying the normal rate at $97 and you bring a new member to class who signs up for a full month of class at the normal rate, I will discount your next month's rate to $50. Monthly specials/promotions do not apply. If you refer more than one person and they sign up for a full month at the normal rate, you will get the $50 rate per month for every person you refer! (ex. You refer two friends and they each sign up for 1 month at the normal rate ($97), your next two month's payments will be discounted to $50 for the following two months.)

Q: Are there a lot of people in the class that I can embarrass myself in front of?

A: Nope. Everyone in class is there to get their workout on and there to motivate each other. I will not embarrass, humiliate or yell at you in class (unless you want me to yell)! Each person will be at their own level of fitness and some will be at a higher level than others due to the time they've been working out with me. There is absolutely no reason to be embarrassed, where ever your level of fitness may be. The whole point of my boot camp is to get you into shape. For anyone who has just decided to start their new path to greater health and fitness, it is expected by me and everyone else that they will have a difficult time in the beginning. That's why it is the beginning! From the beginning, you will most definitely work your way up from there! Just keep it up and be consistent and you WILL see your improvement and progress!!! Guaranteed!!!

Q: How and when do you require payments?

A: Payments by cash or check should be made before class. I also provide payments to be made online through my website for your convenience as well. Payments can be made at any time online. Payments are required before class begins. Please come early to class, especially if it is your first class. I'll have a couple documents for you to review and sign before class begins. You can also download the required forms, completely read them, print, sign, and bring them with you to your first class along with payment. "Click here for the forms."

Q: What happens if it rains?

A: Depending on the severity of the weather, class will usually still be held in the rain. So in essence, we get to play in the rain and get an awesome workout at the same time! On most days, we will still workout unless there is lightning. If the weather may become too severe class will be canceled at the instructor's discretion. If it rains durning class, some of the exercises during the workout may be modified for each persons safety and to prevent possible injuries. You should never assume boot camp is canceled. Always call your instructor to make sure.

                            Personal Training FAQ's

Q:  Do you have a home gym? Where is it located and is it well equipped with weights for strength training?

A: Yes I do have a home gym that is fully equipped with weights and exercise machines for strength training. If this is your preference, I have all the necessary weights and equipment needed. My home gym is located in downtown San Diego.

Q: How flexible is your schedule? How reliable are you?

A: Yes my schedule is flexible but it does vary due to other client sessions. I am very reliable, not flaky. I’m also very punctual and always on time for my appointments.

Q: Will you keep a record of my progress, say weekly?

A: Most definitely. I’ll definitely keep track of your weight and I also measure body fat percentages and record your progress. This of course is optional, although recommended for tracking your progress.

Q: I really hate repeated combos in the same week, I really like to change it up. I don't like to think my trainer isn't creative/experienced enough to push the envelope & maximize my work out to where I leave the gym feeling like I got a great workout- and of course got my money's worth! What are your thoughts about this?

A: After you’re finished with your workout with me, I guarantee you'll be leaving the gym feeling like you got a great workout! Rest assured, I will push and motivate you throughout the workouts and you’ll probably agree after being with me for awhile that I’m always positive and upbeat! I always like to switch things up. Sometimes I may have you do similar exercises the following workouts and the reason could be due to the type of workout I have tailored to you so that you can achieve your goals. I don’t like doing the same routines over and over and I like to mix things up with a variety of exercises as well, although on occasion I will also have you perform similar exercises for tracking your progress.

Q:  Personal training to me means that you are present throughout my entire session, and that the sessions are personal/private and not group sessions. I don't like to be left alone to do reps and combos. Is this the type of service I should expect from you?

A: Definitely not. As the personal trainer, I will give you my undivided attention throughout the session. As the trainee, you are always under my supervision and I do not handle personal business while you are working out.

Q: Do you charge extra to go to your clients homes? What type of equipment to you have that's mobile?

A: Depends on the location. As for my equipment that are mobile, I have a variety of equipment including, dumbbells, resistance bands, and workout accessories (jump rope, step up box, stability ball, and etc), and I also use my own personally designed suspension straps (similar to TRX Suspension Trainers).
